About TGC

IREX is an international nonprofit organization providing leadership and educational programs to promote positive lasting global change. Teachers for Global Education (TGC), part of their education division, provides professional development opportunities for middle and high school teachers from across the United States. The program is focused on globalizing teaching and learning practices in US classrooms.
Elements of the program include the following:

• Online Global Education course
• Pre-departure symposium in Washington, DC
• Two or three week international travel fellowship to one of the following countries: Morocco, Ghana, Kazakhstan, the Ukraine, India, Indonesia or Brazil
• Capstone project/ resource guide
• Post-travel symposium in Washington, DC
