Just like essential questions guide instruction in the classroom, they can also create a focus for one's travel experience domestically and abroad. An essential question can help define a broad topic to investigate. Broad topics could include religion, race, and progress.
During the travel experience, more detail oriented questions can emerge. These supporting questions develop based on the need for more specific information.
* Due to the nature of the topic and time constraints on the trip, the topic could not be throughly analyzed. My conclusions were gained through readings, personal observations, and conversations with young professional Brazilians.
